Is removing furniture allowed on an MLS listing?
No Canadian rule defines it either way. Alberta and PEI are the only two jurisdictions with rules that name virtual staging, and both define it as adding chattels — neither addresses removing. Ontario requires no disclosure at all. A sofa leaves with the seller, so a photo without it does not misrepresent the property; what does matter is the surface underneath, which the model rebuilds rather than photographs.
