Nunavut carried over the pre-division NWT statute, so an Act exists on the books. Beyond that I can't tell you much honestly. The consolidated text could not be retrieved, and Nunavut Legal Registries does not list real estate agent licensing among its programs at all.

What you're actually bound by

Unknown at the territorial level. The federal Competition Act applies regardless.

The actual text

Quoted verbatim. Anything marked regulator guidance is the regulator's stated interpretation rather than a binding section.

The Act is on Nunavut's books

CONSOLIDATION OF REAL ESTATE AGENTS' LICENSING FORMS REGULATIONS R.R.N.W.T. 1990, c.17 (Supp.) In force September 15, 1992; SI-013-92

What I couldn't verify

  • · The verbatim statute text could not be retrieved — the hosts carrying it block automated access. Do not rely on Nunavut section numbers.
  • · Nunavut Legal Registries lists Corporate Registries, Personal Property, Land Titles, Securities, and Commissioner for Oaths — real estate licensing is not among them. Whether licensing is administered locally at all is unclear.

These stay listed until they're closed. If you have access to a document above, I'd genuinely like a copy — get in touch.

Before you rely on this

This page is information, not legal advice. I'm a licensed REALTOR®, not a lawyer. Every rule below is quoted from a primary source and linked so you can read it yourself — and where a rule doesn't exist, I say so instead of guessing. Rules change, and board MLS rules aren't public, so confirm anything you're relying on with your own board or regulator before you act on it.
